I stay at this hotel roughly once a year when I come to visit my parents, or for business in the area. I usually stay between two weeks and over a month at a time. This hotel is the most affordable stay in about 100 miles. The building was built in the 1960s or 1970s, so it has that blocky feel about it. The rooms have been updated since then with wooden floors, flatscreen TVs, microwave, mini fridge, a very basic coffee maker (the kind with the disposable plastic trays and coffee teabag things), desks in the rooms and suites with king sized beds (or two double beds without a desk, if memory serves), free WiFi, and the standard hotel air conditioner units. It is a solid concrete building, which means that in general aside from the shared door with the adjacent room, when the air conditioner is on, you can’t hear what’s happening in the hallway or elsewhere. The mattresses are comfortable, the cleaning staff does a good job, and the desk staff are friendly and helpful. There are limited number of suites available, which offer quite a bit of extra space, if anyone has work that requires them to mess around with boxes or inventory, like me. The entrance is under the Red Roof sign and has a red illuminated awning at night - not sure how people seem to be getting lost trying to find the door. It’s just a double glass door without any big windows or a large lobby, so maybe that’s the problem. 🤷🏼‍♀️ This is the most affordable hotel in the area, but this is still Boston, so the price ($70 to $120 after taxes) might be similar to a fancier hotel in a place with a lower cost of living. It is across from a newly built shopping center, which has some pricier restaurant options and expensive apartments, as well as a Market Basket. Heading in the other direction is mostly industrial spaces and offices, so the area isn’t necessarily scenic - people stay here for the proximity to both the 93 and 95 interstate highways. There is plenty of free parking.

The room was cleaner than I expected and the staff were very friendly. I arrived early to check in but there were no rooms available, the receptionist gave me some place to put my stuff and told me to give him my number so that he contact me when a room was available. It only took them about two hours to get me checked in but at least I had some place safe to put my stuff so it made waiting easier. And while I was waiting I went to the Mexican restaurant across the street to enjoy a meal.

The hotel overall has had a great facelift since I last stayed in it as a child in the early 2000's. The bed was better than I expected. The bedding and pillows were good quality. The room had great temperature control, and the floor despite being laminate was at no point cold. There's a lot of potential in this hotel, it just needs some finishing touch upgrades. The staff was very nice, checking in and checking out were easy.

Great staff good value compared to other hotel rates and convenience located close to major highways and not far from downtown Boston. Not a 5star but it is not a low class place either I’d say it is above average but below top notch!

Dj

Good location and price, room a good size for 2 people. Easy to park and opposite a supermarket and other shops which is very convenient. All in all would recommend!
